Upgrading to XAR450 allows you to extend service life and you can design lighter structures or in some cases take advantage of both. Longer wear life means even longer service life. It has also been observed that the wear life has increased by up to 50%, and even more in some applications. It allows you to produce lighter equipment by using thinner plate, allowing you to achieve lower weight, more load capacity and more profitability.
Its lifetime is longer than XAR400. Today, when economical products are preferred, savings are achieved because longer wear life reduces maintenance and equipment replacement costs.
The same welding methods can be used for the XAR450 as for the XAR400 (submerged arc, gas metal arc...). In addition, all cutting methods can be cut (oxygen, plasma, laser and water jet). If you use the bending force of XAR400 during the upgrade, you can reduce the plate thickness by 6%.
The XAR450 cannot maintain its performance at temperatures exceeding 250 degrees and can regress to the characteristics of the XAR400 by experiencing a loss of value. Therefore, it should not be exposed to this temperature.
